A source familiar with the ongoing restructuring says Ubisoft will close two offices and cut up to 380 staff as part of another round of layoffs. One of the studios being shut is Ubisoft Winnipeg, which opened in 2018 and grew to roughly 100 employees, most recently helping ship Rainbow Six Mobile.

The other is Ubisoft Belgrade, opened about a decade ago and contributing to projects from Steep to Skull & Bones. The company is also making cuts across its Global Publishing division and reorganizing its Barcelona studio to focus exclusively on upcoming Rainbow Six projects.

The changes would affect as many as 380 roles across a company that employs over 15,000 people. Ubisoft’s moves come amid broader struggles: its 2026 release slate is thin, a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due in July and a Rayman Legends remake was recently announced, while many projects—like upcoming Far Cry and Ghost Recon sequels—were reportedly delayed to 2027 and beyond to improve quality.
