Lenovo Legion 5 returns to shelves with an unexpected Newegg deal
The Lenovo Legion 5, long ranked among the best gaming laptops I've tested, had been absent from shelves for weeks after Best Buy replaced it with the 2026 model. Newegg has relisted the OLED RTX 5060 configuration, bringing the model back into circulation. The configuration is priced at $1,249.99, a $150 cut from the original $1,399.99 listing.
With 16GB of RAM and an OLED panel, that level of hardware at this price is rare right now. My previous test unit ran an Intel i7-13650HX, so benchmark results shouldn't shift dramatically; the Legion 5 still keeps pace with higher-end RTX 5060 rigs like the Legion 7i Gen 10 and Alienware 16X Aurora.
In native resolution it posts easily playable numbers on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Total War: Three Kingdoms, and Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered, though demanding runs such as Cyberpunk 2077 will likely require dropping to 1080p to hold 60fps. The chassis is understated and backpack-friendly without being ultra-slim, and the OLED delivers strong low-light visuals.
