I switched to Chrome, but Apple’s upcoming MacOS 27 updates and Apple Intelligence features have me reconsidering Safari. Apple announced a range of Siri AI and Apple Intelligence upgrades at WWDC 2026, and several browser additions could make everyday tasks simpler.

One highlight is an easier way to handle compromised passwords. Passwords will be able to automatically update compromised logins across multiple sites, navigating websites to sign in and upgrade accounts to strong passwords. I use an iPhone, Mac Mini, and a MacBook Air in my workflow, and if Safari can update and remember passwords automatically, I wouldn’t mind switching back.

The new Notify Me feature lets Safari monitor a web page for changes so you can be alerted to product restocks or price drops. I’m often chasing discounts on flights and wishlist items, and the idea of creating alerts without leaving a page — rather than relying on a third-party service — is appealing.
