After five seasons The Bear concludes with a hopeful finale, "The Original Beef of Chicagoland," that closes Carmy's story and the arcs of Sydney, Tina, Marcus, Richie and the rest of the team. The final episode follows the aftermath of the show’s grueling service and shows where each character goes next.

Carmy leaves the restaurant behind and pursues a new direction; he interviews for an internship at an architectural firm, explaining his love of the changing color of food and his interest in art and drawing. Stevie urges him to be himself, saying he has "stories and trauma and darkness and food." The finale keeps Carmy’s next steps intentionally ambiguous — he may return to cooking someday — but a text to his late brother Mikey reading "all good" and a quiet scene at Eva’s birthday suggest he is finally in a steadier place.

Both restaurants survive in new forms.
