Team Asano and Square Enix rolled out a range of changes to The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales after players tried the debut demo last year. Menus were adjusted to speed access to weapons and powers, Magicite equipping was overhauled to make effective load-outs easier, Elliot’s base move speed was increased, and multiple difficulty levels were added.

Producer Naofumi Matsushita said the team was genuinely surprised that many players objected to how much Faie, Elliot’s fairy companion, talked. Testers reported she had a line for nearly every situation, from spotting treasure to taking damage, and the developers had not noticed it as an issue until feedback made it clear.

Matsushita acknowledged the team’s fondness for Faie after working on the game for a long time and said that bias likely influenced their view. To address the concern, the developers added a settings option that reduces Faie’s dialogue. The prologue demo is available now, and these adjustments build on the feedback from the earlier debut demo.
