An official popcorn bucket for Christopher Nolan's historical epic The Odyssey has been revealed, fashioned in the shape of the Trojan Horse. Its hollow belly opens to reveal the compartment that holds the popcorn, a clear nod to the ancient stories that inspired the film.

Theater chains have leaned on collectible buckets to lure audiences back after the pandemic made streaming more convenient, and The Odyssey's iconography makes it a natural candidate. Nolan's Oppenheimer did not receive a similar collectible, but this release gives viewers a chance to take home a unique souvenir.

In Greek myth, the Trojan Horse was a massive wooden sculpture presented to the city of Troy while Greek soldiers hid inside; once inside the walls, the warriors emerged and opened the gates for the invading army. The term "Trojan Horse" has since come to mean a seemingly benevolent gift that brings harm.
