Zlatan Ibrahimovic says World Cup was 'first and last' of his punditry

Zlatan Ibrahimovic suggested his brief stint in sports broadcasting ended with the World Cup final, using the closing broadcast to bid a blunt farewell. The former Sweden striker joined an all-star Fox Sports panel for the tournament in North America, working alongside Thierry Henry, Alexi Lalas and host Rebecca Lowe.

As Fox Sports wrapped up its World Cup final coverage, he thanked the colleagues he had worked with during the tournament: "I have been talking a lot for the last one-and-a-half months but these will be my last words," he said. "Alexi, thank you. Thierry, thank you.

Rebecca, thank you. I also want to thank Fox, America and all the people you don't see." He added: "This is my farewell to the studio. This was the first and last time for me. So, take care, everybody." He quickly became a popular figure for his direct opinions and humorous exchanges, and his chemistry with Henry, Lalas and Lowe drew praise throughout the World Cup.
