Ziwen aims to build GTA 6 before the official launch
GTA 6's console release was pushed from its expected May 26 date to November so Rockstar can "finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve." Not everyone is content to wait. Ziwen, an AI start-up entrepreneur, announced a project to "beat the real GTA 6 to launch." "Day 1 of building GTA 6.
Still feels fake typing that out. Upgraded to Claude Max 20x just for this... No studio, no publisher. Just whoever shows up... The goal: beat the real GTA 6 to launch." Ziwen invited anyone who can "model, code, build levels, or write music and lore" to join. Progress has been shared as daily updates.
After a Tic-Tac-on-a-field first day, day two produced a Roblox-esque character in a jittery world and an agent that built downtown LA skyscrapers. Day four shipped a first version of the collapsion system, added an intro video, reworked movement and even featured a cinematic with alligators falling from the sky.
