Zach Braff Teases Two Deep-Cut 'Scrubs' Guests for Season 2
Zach Braff has helped steer the Scrubs revival back toward the original show's tone by returning to Sacred Heart and reuniting much of the legacy cast. Rather than overhauling the formula, the revival has leaned into the familiar elements that made the series resonate with fans.
Braff said the team is "hoping to fold more" returning characters into the revival alongside Dr. Cox and Carla, and he named two deep-cut guest stars he'd like to see: Richard Kind, who played hypochondriac Harvey Corman in four episodes, and Bob Clendenin, who played Dr.
Paul Zeltzer in seven episodes. Clendenin, who later joined the main cast of Cougar Town, said he hadn't heard anything concrete but thought the character was "on their minds in the writer’s room" for Season 1. He added that he was contacted about his availability several times, though "nothing came of it," and that he hopes for "better luck" in Season 2.
