Yu-Gi-Oh Creator Alex Cimo Passes After Cancer Battle

Alex Cimo, a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and Master Duel content creator known on YouTube as Cimoooooooo, passed on June 3 after a lengthy battle with stage IV colon cancer. The news reached the internet following a leaked statement by his mother in a now-deleted LinkedIn post, which praised his "passion and positivity" and noted his charity work and donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Cimo had spoken publicly about his treatment. His most recent health update on his official channel was posted on December 31, 2025, titled "Hope." The last video released to his channel, the latest entry in the 100+ episode "Masochist" Master Duel series, was published on March 20, 2026.

Several friends and fellow creators, including Farfa, MBT, and Ruxin34, released videos to commemorate him within the past 24 hours. MBT said the news of Cimo’s death was meant to be revealed in a video on Cimo’s channel that has yet to be uploaded, and that he had been told of Cimo’s declining health in March.
