Yan Diomande has decided he would join Paris Saint-Germain if he leaves RB Leipzig this summer, believing the move offers the best platform to win major trophies and pursue his long-term aim of claiming the Ballon d'Or. Diomande is convinced by the PSG project under chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and football advisor Luis Campos, and is keen to play under Luis Enrique.

Liverpool had indicated it would bid close to €100 million, but the player prefers a move to the French capital. RB Leipzig insist they will not sell cheaply, rejecting Liverpool's €100m package and holding out for around €130m. The club have also tried to persuade Diomande to sign new terms; his contract runs until 2030 after joining from Leganes last summer.

A sale would be a club record, surpassing the €90m Manchester City paid for Josko Gvardiol. Diomande scored 12 goals and supplied nine assists in 33 league matches as Leipzig finished third and qualified for the Champions League.
