XCOM miniatures game revealed with upgradable base and co‑op campaign
Modiphius Entertainment has revealed XCOM: The Miniatures Game, a solo and co‑op “adventure wargame” based on XCOM: Enemy Unknown that uses the Five Parsecs From Home system. The game, due toward the end of 2026, puts players in charge of building the XCOM organisation, fielding an elite squad you create, and researching technologies while developing an upgradable base.
The structure suggests a long‑running campaign, with the publisher saying new aliens will appear each month during the war. Players can buy monthly encounter sets to expand their collections as the conflict progresses. The game also supports head‑to‑head play, where one player controls the alien forces.
Pre‑orders begin in July, with accessories and miniatures available alongside the core rulebook; pre‑ordering the rulebook grants an immediate PDF so you can try the rules with proxy minis.
