Xbox raises console prices again, 512GB up $100, 1TB up $150
If you're still planning on buying an Xbox and haven't already, you might want to do so before August 1, as console prices are going up again. Microsoft has announced another worldwide Xbox console price increase — the third increase in the Xbox console family since 2025 — bringing 512GB models up $100 and driving up 1TB models by $150.
Meanwhile, the most expensive Xbox, the disc-equipped 2TB Xbox Series X, is being discontinued. Xbox didn't share updated numbers for each model specifically, but doing the math from the last price hike brings the following models, starting August 1, to: Xbox Series X (disc) – $799.99, Xbox Series X (digital) – $749.99, Xbox Series S 1TB – $599.99, and Xbox Series S 512GB – $499.99.
Team Xbox said, "We hoped another price increase would not be necessary, and we have spent the last several months working with suppliers on options.
