Team Ninja revealed a sequel at the Xbox Games Showcase: Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, due in early 2027.

The trailer highlights new powers and stylish boss fights alongside the studio’s intense action. Its description states, "players must master the evolved Chinese martial arts and conquer battlefields of the Three Kingdoms overrun by monstrous demons alongside renowned heroes who left their mark on history."

The first Wo Long, released in 2023, reached more than 5 million players and earned positive notices; one review said, "With its intricate combat system and an equally evocative setting, Wo Long is a journey worth embarking on — even if it means devoting three more hours to your next boss fight."

Team Ninja, known for Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, has also produced three Nioh games, 2024’s Rise of the Ronin and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Wo Long 2 will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X, and will be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
