Collider recapped Season 4, Episode 3 of Will Trent, titled "Studio 4B," which follows Will and Faith as they investigate the on-set murder of a model named Chloe while Ormewood struggles with chemo side effects and pursues a potential case. Chloe is killed during a photoshoot, and the GBI traces the setup to a fake photographer and then to photographer Crispin Ratner, who provides an alibi but points them to wealthy collector Gideon Barnell.

At Gideon's party they discover commissioned images of dying animals and learn Gideon was obsessed with photographing death; Will and Faith work out that Gideon hired someone to kill Chloe on camera. Faith identifies Alex, the studio owner's son, as the hired accomplice, but Alex jumps to his death during the attempted arrest.

Later it is revealed Alex could not go through with the murder and Valentina, his mother, was the killer; Faith arrests Valentina and Ava, the photographer Will once met, is unharmed. Will and Ava briefly reconnect and plan to see each other after her New York trip, leaving Will feeling hopeful.
