Will King Charles meet Meghan and the Sussex children during UK visit?
Prince Harry is preparing to bring Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for the first time in four years for a week of "Year to Go" events ahead of the 2027 Invictus Games. Their security is understood to have been upgraded after Harry’s dispute with the British government over armed protection, and questions have arisen about whether Meghan will meet members of the royal family during the trip.
Royal biographer Hugo Vickers says King Charles would be willing to see Meghan and would not shut her out, while any encounter would likely be kept private and away from photographers. Vickers added, "The king has always left the door wide open," and called a private reconciliation between father and son "a good idea" for both men.
Charles has spoken publicly about his cancer battle, and Harry told the BBC last year, "I would love reconciliation with my family. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.
