White House posts AI-generated Destiny 2 meme amid Bungie layoffs
The official White House X account published an AI-generated Destiny 2–style character sheet featuring an unrealistically ripped Donald Trump wielding a Gjallarhorn. The post opened with "Eyes up, Guardians," and the image shows a muscular, Duke Nukem-esque Trump holding the United States flag against a backdrop of fighter jets and a Rolls Royce.
The character sheet lists a power level of 4700 (the actual Destiny 2 maximum is 550) and includes a B2 Bomber companion, noted as costing "over $2 billion" per unit and most recently deployed in America's attack on Iran. The White House and its departments have produced videogame-themed, AI-generated material before: Homeland Security riffed on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker to celebrate the US Coast Guard, Secretary Brooke Rollins echoed GTA 6 in a recent video, and both the Department of Labor and United States Customs and Border Protection have used GTA 6 references.
As Andy Chalk reported in March, the White House also used videogame-themed AI content to promote its attack on Iran.
