When will Toy Story 5 hit digital, Blu-ray, and Disney Plus?

Toy Story 5 is expected to be the most successful film in the franchise to date and could top The Super Mario Galaxy Movie as the biggest domestic debut of the year. Strong reviews and affection for Pixar’s flagship characters suggest it will be both a box office hit and a streaming favorite.

Disney typically waits about two months between theatrical and digital releases. Hoppers opened on March 6 and reached digital platforms on April 28, while Zootopia 2 debuted on VOD on Jan. 27 after a Nov. 26, 2025 theatrical launch. By that pattern, Toy Story 5 will probably land on VOD in August.

Physical releases usually follow digital by three to four weeks. Hoppers arrived on disc on June 2, and Zootopia 2 came out on 4K UHD, DVD, and Blu-ray on March 3. Expect a special feature–packed Toy Story 5 Blu-ray and DVD release in September. Streaming on Disney Plus has varied: Hoppers reached the service on June 3, about three months after theaters, while Zootopia 2 appeared on March 11, roughly four months after its theatrical debut.
