When ChatGPT becomes the front door to crypto

Recent developments could change this path — MoonPay is available inside ChatGPT, and Coinbase’s Base is building tools that let AI assistants work with wallets and blockchain apps. AI assistants are moving from explanations to action. They can generate purchase links, guide transactions and, with the help of MCP, connect to wallets and apps to carry out tasks such as sending 50 USDC, swapping ETH for USDC or checking a wallet balance.

The conversation itself can become the onboarding process. That shift could lower technical barriers, explain steps as they arise and make crypto feel familiar to people who already use chatbots for everyday tasks.
