Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, WWDC 2026, kicks off Monday at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. The event will stream live via the Apple Developer app, Apple’s website and the Apple Developer YouTube channel. The headline is a major AI upgrade to Siri, transforming it into a more conversational assistant that can understand context, handle multi-step tasks and interact more naturally across apps and services.

The revamped Siri will leverage Google’s Gemini technology, and recent leaks suggest a standalone Siri app aimed at competing with advanced chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Apple may also add message-style controls to delete conversations after 30 days, a year or keep them indefinitely.

Apple plans an AI agent integration with the App Store to let users delegate tasks like booking reservations, managing everyday tasks, editing documents or controlling smart home devices.
