What to Expect at PlayStation’s Summer State of Play
Summer showcase season is nearly here and Sony will stream an hour-long State of Play on June 2 at 2 p.m. Pacific / 5 p.m. Eastern. The livestream will be on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch accounts. Select Alamo Drafthouse locations in Raleigh, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth and New York City will screen the event for free; admission requires a food voucher and tickets are going quickly.
Sony has confirmed that Insomniac’s Wolverine will kick off the showcase. The PS5 game arrives on September 15, so this stream will likely mark the start of a bigger marketing push as launch approaches. Other Sony-published projects could also appear. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, announced at last year’s equivalent showcase, is due August 6 and may get new character reveals, and there’s a chance we’ll see more of Horizon Hunters Gathering.
