What Microsoft 365 Premium costs and how it compares to ChatGPT Plus

Microsoft 365 Premium replaces Copilot Pro and bundles advanced AI features with a Microsoft 365 Family subscription. The plan is priced at $200 a year, though existing Basic, Personal, or Family subscribers can get the first year for $100. Microsoft positioned the change as an evolution of the $20-per-month Copilot Pro offering and is using a limited promotional discount to encourage upgrades.

The Premium edition includes everything in Microsoft 365 Family for up to six users, while the account owner gets exclusive AI features and higher usage limits. Those owner-only features currently include three agents — Researcher, Analyst, and a Photos Agent in preview — available in the Microsoft 365 Copilot web app.

Copilot capabilities are also offered in free form within Windows, Edge, and the Copilot mobile app, but the free tier has usage limits and restricted access to the latest models.
