Wednesday Season 3 Paused After Eva Green On-Set Injury
Filming for Wednesday Season 3 began in mid-February with Jenna Ortega returning as Wednesday Addams. Netflix relocated the production base from Romania to Ireland and planned additional on-location shooting in Paris, but production briefly halted after Eva Green was hurt in an on-set accident.
Green, who plays Aunt Ophelia Frump, reportedly suffered a painful leg injury while filming. Medics were called, she was taken to hospital for treatment, and the production paused for a few days while the shooting schedule was reshuffled to accommodate her recovery; she is said to be recovering well.
Green’s casting was confirmed last November and reunites her with executive producer and director Tim Burton. Her character was teased at the end of the Season 2 finale, shown from behind trapped inside Grandmama Hester’s basement, and she will join a roster of newcomers including Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance.
