Warner Bros. Pictures Animation is partnering with Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano on Prehistoria, an animated musical planned for a theatrical release. The project was announced by studio president Bill Damaschke during a presentation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Medrano is best known for creating the musical dark comedies Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, which built large audiences on YouTube before being picked up by Prime Video. She has more than 11 million subscribers on her VivziePop channel, and Hazbin Hotel’s pilot has over 123 million views; the series was later greenlit for a total of five seasons on the streamer and had Prime Video’s largest global debut for an animated series.

Few details about Prehistoria have been released beyond a single promotional image. The film will take place outside Medrano’s existing “Hellaverse” and features dinosaurs that can use magic. “Since I began my animation journey, my biggest dream was to be part of a feature film,” Medrano said.
