Warner Bros. Acquires Rights to Shatter Me Series
Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me book library, the series that began with Shatter Me and now spans 11 books, plus a recent spin-off titled "Shatter Me: The New Republic." The deal arrives as the franchise marks its 15th anniversary.
The story centers on Juliette Ferrars, who possesses a deadly power: prolonged skin-to-skin contact kills. Captured by the totalitarian Reestablishment and forced to use her ability against prisoners, Juliette later escapes with the help of a mysterious love interest.
The books have sold more than 15 million copies and been published in 38 territories and 34 languages, and the series has a strong presence on social media, particularly TikTok’s #BookTok community.
