Wardogs, which unveiled a new trailer during the Future Games Show, is neither a battle royale nor an extraction shooter. Instead it bills itself as an "all-out warfare" first-person shooter for up to 100 players. The game centers on a single mode inspired by King of the Hill, sending three teams to fight for control of randomized zones across a larger map.

Each zone brings different conditions and challenges, so matches are intended to play out differently each time. Teamplay is encouraged through an in-game economy that rewards actions like reviving teammates or transporting friendlies, in addition to holding objectives.

Money buys loadouts and vehicles each life, and it persists from match to match, letting players save for key moments or suffer setbacks during a bad run. Wardogs markets itself as "100% player driven," giving players freedom to tackle the Control Zone in many ways—whether as a lone wolf or part of a squad, with no fixed rules of engagement.
