Wagner Moura and Greta Lee in Netflix Sci‑Fi Horror The Last House
Netflix has released a trailer for The Last House, a science-fiction horror film starring Wagner Moura and Greta Lee. The preview centers on a family abruptly locked inside their home by a mysterious outside entity, with everyone on their street—and possibly the entire world—affected.
An onscreen counter reveals they have been confined for more than three years, turning each day into a fight for food and sanity as nature reclaims the outdoors. The film holds to a single chilling question: are the occupants being imprisoned for some nefarious reason, or kept safe from whatever now stalks the silent streets?
Louis Leterrier directed from a script by Matthew Robinson. The Last House was originally titled 11817, and Kingsley Ben-Adir was attached early on but was replaced by Moura before filming began. The Last House opens on Netflix on August 7.
