A newly surfaced video shows Daveigh Chase living on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles in the months before her death. In the clip, the "Lilo & Stitch" actress appears extremely thin and barely conscious, lying on the floor of what looks like a tent or trailer on Skid Row.

Her longtime manager, John Ryan, said he and Chase’s stepsister, Gaia Brown, had been searching for her with a private investigator for months before learning of the footage in late 2025. Ryan said he was able to speak with Chase by phone and intended to take her for treatment, but she "disappeared" again by the time he reached Skid Row; he and Brown had planned to nurse her in Los Angeles and then send her to a rehab facility in Costa Rica owned by a friend.

Shortly before her death, a GoFundMe created by a man identified as Roy Hernandez described Chase as his girlfriend and sought funds to help her "find comfort and peace" in her final days; Ryan called the organizer an imposter and said Chase has a SAG trust account to cover costs.
