The San Antonio Spurs outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-103 in a seventh game to win the Western Conference Finals, and Victor Wembanyama was named the series MVP, raising the Magic Johnson Trophy after also earning Defensive Player of the Year earlier in the spring.

Wembanyama opened the series with 41 points and 24 rebounds in a double-overtime Game 1 and never scored fewer than 20 points in any game. He finished the seven-game series averaging 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.7 blocks.

After the win he spoke about the chance to win a title, calling the Larry O’Brien Trophy a childhood dream and saying it feels "almost like the meaning of my life now."

The Spurs will now head to the 2026 NBA Finals to face the Eastern Conference champion New York Knicks, with the series beginning Wednesday, June 3.
