Victor Cruz joked that a New York Knicks championship would feel equivalent to the life-changing joy of becoming a father. “For me personally, winning in the city is next to my child being born,” he said. “It’s an experience that I’ll never forget, and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life.” The former New York Giants player co-parents his 14-year-old daughter, Kennedy Cruz, with his ex-partner Elaina Watley.

He described the memories from winning a New York championship as “second to none,” and added that players and fans are craving the chance to share those moments with their families. He said a Knicks championship in the Big Apple would mean “absolutely everything.” Cruz has long been a Knicks superfan and has often sat courtside at Madison Square Garden, attending games in 2023, sporting a New York Rangers jersey while cheering the Knicks in February 2024, and appearing at games in 2025.

A title would be the franchise’s first in 53 years.
