Vera Wang, 76, debuts bra top and low-slung skirt at Fragrance Awards

At 76 years old, Vera Wang unveiled what may be her most daring look yet while entering New York City’s David H. Koch theater at Lincoln Center for the Fragrance Foundation Awards. The designer wore a structured bra top paired with an ultra low-slung skirt she created herself.

From the back the skirt appeared to defy the laws of physics, sitting as low as possible without revealing too much. In front, the sheer skirt—designed with opaque wide-leg pants underneath—crossed at her navel, with a waistband that split into hip-hugging cutouts.

Wang accessorized with pastel blue opera-length gloves, oversized sunglasses and playful pigtail buns. She posted a series of images before leaving her apartment with the caption, “ALL GUSSIED UP,” and fans responded enthusiastically; one compared her to Audrey Hepburn while another wrote, “You just keep getting more and more beautiful!” She also shared an apartment photoshoot, walking around her foyer to show all angles of the look.
