Giovanni van Bronckhorst is poised to return to Feyenoord as head coach, filling the vacancy left by Robin van Persie. He is expected to sign a two-year contract once formalities are completed. Van Bronckhorst previously managed the club from 2015 to 2019, leading Feyenoord to the 2017 league title, two KNVB Cups and a Johan Cruyff Shield.

He will be joined by Sipke Hulshoff, who moves from Liverpool to take a key role in the new coaching structure. Hulshoff carried primary responsibility for field training under Arne Slot and earlier worked with the Netherlands national team from early 2023 until the summer of 2024.

John de Wolf and Said Bakkati will remain part of the technical staff, keeping continuity in the backroom. Van Bronckhorst returns after spells abroad with Guangzhou City, Rangers—where he reached a Europa League final—and Besiktas. The fresh coaching group faces the task of maintaining the standards set under Slot as Feyenoord prepare for the new campaign.
