Playing a vampire in tabletop RPGs has typically required an entire table of bloodsuckers, or settling for the dhampir rules in Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft (2021) — and for some players, being half a vampire isn’t enough. Bound By Blood, a supplement from Ghostfire Gaming in cooperation with White Wolf, adds a full vampire class for D&D 5th edition.

It uses blood points to spend, bloodline powers called disciplines, and an inner beast mechanic familiar to Vampire: The Masquerade players, and includes an adventure set in the game's Dark Ages timeline, returning to medieval Europe. White Wolf clarified that Bound By Blood is not the primary project it will announce at Gen Con and that the two projects are different, after some online confusion.

The supplement will be released in July and will be available on D&D Beyond.
