Valve sets Steam Machine price starting at $1,049, pre-orders open June 25

Valve said the cube-shaped Steam Machine will arrive this summer and starts at $1,049. Pre-orders open Thursday, June 25, and customers can register now for a chance to buy on the Steam Machine page on Steam. Valve released its new Steam Controller in May and has a VR headset coming called Steam Frame.

The Steam Machine comes in four configurations: Steam Machine 512 GB - $1,049 (CA$1,509 / €1,039 / £879 / AU$1,609); Steam Machine 512 GB with Controller - $1,128 (CA$1,628 / €1,108 / £938 / AU$1,728); Steam Machine 2 TB - $1,349 (CA$1,919 / €1,359 / £1,149 / AU$2,109); Steam Machine 2 TB with Controller - $1,428 (CA$2,038 / €1,428 / £1,208 / AU$2,228).

Valve is limiting how many Steam Machines customers can buy and is restricting who can sign up. Eligible buyers must have a Steam account in good standing, have made a purchase on Steam prior to April 27, 2026, and are limited to one signup per household; Valve will use payment method, shipping address and other information to eliminate multiple entries.
