Later this year there is a potentially massive video game release pile-up in the months before Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives in November. On June 11, the official Valor Mortis social media account said that, due to a “stacked” September, the first-person action game will delay its launch to October 13.

“September has become absolutely stacked with incredible-looking games,” the studio wrote, adding that when “you’re in a Partner Showcase as we were, dates get locked weeks in advance. We want to give Valor Mortis (and your wallet) some room to breathe. Therefore, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 13th.” In a follow-up post the team shared a gif and joked: “Live footage of us trying to find a clear release date in Fall 2026.” The studio noted Valor Mortis, a historical soulslike involving zombie-like monsters and Napoleon, now has a demo on Steam ahead of the new date.
