Until Dawn 2 announced, coming in 2027

Sony is returning to the horror hit Until Dawn with a sequel coming to PlayStation 5 in 2027. Firesprite will develop the new game, which features an all-new cast and follows a group of ghost-hunter influencers trying to make a viral video. The characters run a popular paranormal channel called "Dead True." They visit Akashina Island, apparently abandoned by a mysterious corporation, and the staged scares they’re known for become real.

The trailer presents tense dynamics — a buff companion, sex-as-death tropes, a graphic murder by a masked killer — and shows a character named Luke dying after jumping from a cliff. Actor Peter Stormare returns as the enigmatic Dr. Hill. The trailer makes no mention of Supermassive Games, which created the original title and had considered a sequel shortly after its success.

Firesprite — whose credits include Horizon Call of the Mountain and The Persistence — will helm development.
