Ukraine is repurposing reconnaissance and attack drones to haul water, ammunition, and medical supplies to forward troops as routes to the front have become too exposed to surveillance and strike systems. Frontline Robotics' Linza drone, used by more than 60 Ukrainian units, has shifted from attack missions to a growing logistics role.

Mykyta Rozhkov, the company's chief business development officer, said it was "mainly for attack operations," but there is demand "to have it as a logistics drone to provide critical supplies to the advanced troops." Frontline upgraded Linza to a 3.0 model this year, boosting payload capacity to 4 kilograms over 15 kilometers from 2 kilograms over 10 kilometers; soldiers can use it to carry basic items such as "water and cigarettes" or for combat tasks meant "to stop the target." Other manufacturers are converting systems as well: the heavy bomber "Max," designed to drop explosives on Russian positions, is increasingly being used for logistics.
