Both 2022's Citizen Sleeper and 2025's Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector are now available on Nintendo Switch 2, offering a chance to play two acclaimed space-faring RPGs back to back. The series is known for its emotional storytelling and tabletop-inspired mechanics, and the sequel expands that approach across a wider canvas.

Citizen Sleeper opens aboard a massive space station called The Eye, where you awaken as a Sleeper — a digital copy of a brain placed in a synthetic body and used as slave labor. Having escaped your captors and with no money or shelter, survival depends on forging connections with others.

The game uses a daily dice system for skill checks that mirrors the scarcity at the heart of the setting, and lengthy dialogue and internal monologue build the community and its many interlocking stories. Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector keeps the tabletop mechanics and character-focused narrative but takes them to space.
