Twitch chat spammed with Destiny 3 demands during PlayStation showcase

PlayStation streamed a new State of Play showcase to announce PS5 games and show off trailers, but all anyone cared about in the Twitch chat was Destiny 3 and how Bungie reportedly isn’t working on it. Demands for a sequel to the loot shooter that is unexpectedly sunsetting later this month spammed the channel through the hour-long event.

While Wolverine was busy stabbing random goons onscreen, viewers in the Twitch chat kept writing things like #WeWantDestiny3 and flooding the rapidly updating text box with a Destiny 3 emote created by Destiny streamer Aztecross. The content creator had previously announced he would never play Marathon again if Bungie moved ahead with killing off Destiny 2: "I don’t want to play Marathon," he said last month.

"I’ll play it maybe seasonally. I may jump in a few weeks, but I want Destiny. I want Destiny 3. I want this universe expanded. And Marathon, if I have to f*cking bury you myself to send that message, I shall.
