Tulsa King opens Season 5 writers' room as show eyes move to New York
Tulsa King, Taylor Sheridan's crime drama starring Sylvester Stallone as Dwight "The General" Manfredi, has opened a writers' room for a fifth season. Paramount+ has not officially renewed the series, but the Season 5 room is in place. With Season 4 wrapping production in Atlanta, the drama is looking to move to New York for the next installment, a shift tied to the state's tax incentives and possibly to Dwight's old stomping grounds.
Season 4 does not yet have an official release date, though the series is expected to return on Paramount+ before the end of the year; the show's past release pattern suggests a September premiere. Since debuting in 2022, Tulsa King has climbed the streaming ranks and holds an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Behind the scenes, Season 4 saw changes after Dave Erickson departed following the renewal.
