Some fighters at Sunday’s Ultimate Fighting Championship event on the White House lawn will receive bonuses in USD1, the US dollar‑pegged stablecoin issued by World Liberty Financial. World Liberty confirmed UFC would pay up to $250,000 in bonuses using USD1; the token’s price jumped above $1 on June 12 and trading volume in the past 24 hours rose more than 93% to $2.38 billion, though USD1 has traded below $1 for most of the past month.

The “UFC Freedom 250” event was held on the south lawn as part of semiquincentennial celebrations and drew criticism in Congress for a reported $60 million price tag. Sponsors included World Liberty, prediction market Polymarket and cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, which pledged $1 million in bonuses for fighters in its Cronos (CRO) token.

World Liberty, launched in 2024 by members of the Trump family and others linked to his administration, has been at the center of controversy over alleged corruption.
