Treyarch has confirmed the original Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 will be ported to PlayStation in July, with work handled by Iron Galaxy. The studio added that both ports will include Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, after a tease from fan account PlayStation Game Size.

Iron Galaxy has a long history as a support and co-developer, contributing to projects such as the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Overwatch, and working on versions of Fallout 76, Skyrim, The Last of Us and Uncharted. Most recently the studio handled Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.

The posts suggest fresh PS5 ports in July, though PlayStation Game Size indicated both PS4 and PS5 versions were in the works; PS4 games are supported on PS5, so both would make sense. The series originally launched on PlayStation 3 alongside PC and Xbox 360, but differences in backwards compatibility and legacy support — complicated further by the new Call of Duty umbrella launcher — have left the first two entries stuck in PS3 jail with no way to play them on PS5.
