Translucent green Xbox Series X25 limited edition revealed
Microsoft marked the original Xbox’s near-25th anniversary by revealing a limited-edition translucent green console during the 2026 Xbox summer showcase. The XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition houses a 1TB SSD encased in translucent green plastic.
The reveal was accompanied by a nostalgia-leaning ad shared on social media that declared, "Now this is an XBOX!"
Microsoft also showed a translucent OG Green Xbox Series X/S controller with an Xbox insignia that lights up green and bumpers that call back to the original 'Duke' gamepad. The controller will be sold separately, and both limited-edition devices are expected to arrive sometime ahead of the holiday season in November.
Microsoft has not announced pricing. "We’ll have more to share on pricing and preorder availability at select retailers soon," the company wrote in a blog post. For context, the 1TB Xbox Series X currently retails for $650.
