Transfer trades of the week: Gordon to Barcelona, Robertson to Tottenham
With the transfer window opening on June 15 for many of Europe's top leagues, here is a round-up of the biggest completed moves so far this summer. Andrew Robertson left Liverpool after Arne Slot's second season limited his playing time; the Scotland captain, who made almost 400 appearances for the club, joined Tottenham on a free transfer.
Spurs also added Marcos Senesi on a free, the Argentina international arriving to strengthen a previously shaky backline. Wolves signed former England full-back Kieran Trippier on a free as they prepare to bid for an immediate return to the top flight. Southampton completed a £6m deal for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz after his loan spell on the south coast, while Bayer Leverkusen beat Liverpool and Bayern to sign highly rated teenager Kennet Eichhorn for £8m on a contract through to 2031.
Hoffenheim secured World Cup-bound Patrick Wimmer from Wolfsburg for £8.5m, reuniting him with coach Christian Ilzer.
