Trailer for Action Fantasy The East Palace Arrives on Netflix
Netflix has released the first trailer for The East Palace, a new fantasy action series that could serve as a replacement for The Witcher after Henry Cavill left the role of Geralt of Rivia at the end of Season 3. Cavill was replaced by Liam Hemsworth and Season 4 became the show's lowest-rated entry.
The eight-episode story follows Gu-cheon, who moves between the realms of the living and the dead, and Saeng-gang, a lady of the court guarding a secret. When the king summons them to investigate the palace, they confront a web of power, hidden histories and restless spirits—Gu-cheon wields a blade said to cut down ghosts, while Saeng-gang can hear the voices of the dead.
Writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won, known for weaving Korean occultism into series such as Bulgasal: Immortal Souls and The Guest, teamed with director Choi Jung-kyu, whose credits include The Devil Judge and Children of Nobody, to bring the supernatural drama to life.
