Toy Story 5 Reveals Jessie's Original Owner Emily in New Clip

Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters on June 19, 2026, and sets the classic toys against a wave of modern electronics in a Toys vs. Tech story. New high-tech characters include a tablet called Lilypad and an interactive potty-training toy named Smarty Pants. Jessie takes a central role this time.

After Woody's departure at the end of Toy Story 4 she leads Bonnie's room and appears to orchestrate a plan to win back the child's attention. A clip posted by @DisneyStudioJ_A on X revisits the 'When She Loved Me' sequence from Toy Story 2 and, for the first time, gives a clear look at Emily, Jessie's original owner.

To elevate the scene's emotional weight, Pixar collaborated with Taylor Swift on an original country-style song titled "I Knew It, I Knew You," intended to mirror Randy Newman's bittersweet track. Swift said she had always "dreamed of getting to write for these characters" because she has been a Toy Story fan since she was five.
