Tom Hardy Drops Rap Single While Future on MobLand Remains Unclear
Tom Hardy has built a varied career, from playing Bane in The Dark Knight Rises to starring as Eddie Brock/Venom in a solo trilogy that briefly crossed into the MCU. He has also taken on gangster roles, including 2012's Lawless and the 2020 film Capone, and has been a leading presence on the Paramount+ series MobLand since 2023.
Questions have emerged about his future on the show following accounts of on-set clashes, script disputes and persistent tardiness. He quietly released the first single from a new album, Czarface Meets Frankie Pulizter; the track, titled "Brothers Grimm," was made available online.
The album is credited to Hardy performing as rap persona Frankie Pulitzer, a.k.a. Face Puller, in collaboration with supergroup Czarface — 7L & Esoteric and Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan. The full record will be released Aug. 28 and features guest appearances from Busta Rhymes, EL-O and Method Man.
