A new rumor claims the DCU has found its Batman. Insider John Campea said multiple sources have named the same actor but withheld the name while seeking confirmation; other rumors now point to Tom Brittney as the choice to play Batman opposite David Corenswet’s Superman.

The Brave and the Bold was announced in January 2023 as part of the DCU's "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters" slate and draws inspiration from Grant Morrison's run. The film is set to introduce Bryce Wayne’s estranged son Damian as the fifth Robin alongside a more experienced Batman, with Andy Muschietti attached to direct; this project is positioned within the main DCU while Robert Pattinson’s Batman remains an "Elseworlds" story.

Brittney, 35, is known for Greyhound, Back in Action and the TV series Grantchester, and has several projects lined up, including the thrillers Fall 2: Deadpoint and Black Box and the crime drama series The Westies. He was reportedly among the top contenders for the DCU Superman role before David Corenswet was cast.
