Toby Fox aims for 2027 release for Deltarune Chapter 6

The fifth chapter of Deltarune, subtitled Festival Day, was released on June 24 as a free update for anyone who owns the base game. In a quiet update to the game's Steam FAQ, creator Toby Fox said development has begun on Chapter 6 and offered a target window for its arrival.

Fox made clear the project is ongoing: "Nope!" he wrote, adding that "The story is still continuing, and more Chapters will be added for free over time." On timing, he said, "We are aiming for a 2027 release!" and that the team will periodically share development progress.

The game’s episodic structure has long fueled fan speculation. The chapter select screen shows seven chapters, which would leave only two more installments before a conclusion, and the Steam page teases that the game will have "only 1 ending...?" Fans have compared that hint to Fox’s previous game, Undertale, which featured multiple endings.
