To Kill a God adds mage Talorim and launches Steam demo
To Kill a God is set in a cursed realm trapped in a cycle of life and death, with a polished survivors-like aesthetic and action-oriented combat and movement. Players work their way through cults and tyrannical demigods on a journey toward the titular act of killing a god.
Progression uses a SkillMap that doubles as a skill tree and route planner: each stop on the Death Spiral both powers you up and brings you closer to that goal. The design asks players to choose shorter or longer routes, safer or riskier paths, and trade-offs between immediate power and long-term build synergy, making traversal a meaningful part of progression.
A trailer shown at the PC Gaming Show introduced Talorim, a new mage who deals area-of-effect magic instead of the warrior’s melee or the archer’s ranged attacks. Her spells benefit from being surrounded by enemies, a playstyle that draws comparisons to Vampire Survivors.
